LUK is a nonprofit multiservice agency that has been dedicated to improving the safety, health, and emotional well-being of youth, families, and adults for over 50 years. As a community-based organization, LUK offers an array of child and family services through five regional offices in Central Massachusetts. For more information about our services, visit www.luk.org.
LUK provides intensive foster care services for children and adolescents with special emotional, developmental, and educational needs. Our foster care program provides services for children between the ages of birth to 22, with a majority of our clients ranging from ages 5 to 17. LUK provides foster care placement for youth involved with the Massachusetts Department of Children & Families (DCF) and the Department of Youth Services (DYS) through residential homes and foster home placement.

LUK’s approach to supporting foster families in the community is unique. Our dedicated staff provides support and resources to foster parents, including, but not limited to:
– 24/7 on-call support for emergencies and crises
– In-depth and relevant trainings
– Family Support Partner with lived experience as a former LUK foster parent to provide support and advice to current LUK foster families
– Large bilingual capacity in both foster homes and staff
– Foster parent appreciations and social support
– Dedicated Family Resource Specialists to support foster families
– Dedicated Case Managers to work with youth and their families
